COMMENTSIt is already known to modulate vascular smooth and cardiac muscle function from earlier studies. In the present article overexpression of this gene reduced human Asm proliferation. But in KLF15 knock out mice the ASM proliferation was found to be increased . It is also upregulated upon glucocoricoid treatment. Hence this gene can be considered as candidate marker of glucocorticoid receptor regulated gene network.
