COMMENTSIL10 -1082G/A polymorphism might be a risk factor for asthma in children. A significant association between this polymorphism in Asian populations and pediatric asthma in a dominant model and non-Asian populations and pediatric asthma in a recessive model. -1082G/A polymorphism was significantly associated with non-atopic asthma in children in the additive and allelic models and with atopic asthma in children in the recessive model.
