| COMMENTS | There were significant differences in the distribution of 5-HTT genotypes in the group with asthma but without anxiety, and the group with asthma and anxiety, when compared with the healthy controls. An association was observed between the 5-HTT gene polymorphisms and female asthmatic patients with anxiety. The majority of patients with asthma had the S+ allele in the 5-HTT gene. |
