Ayan did his PhD in Animal Biotechnology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal in 2012. He has worked on molecular genetic basis of subfertility in bulls with special emphasis on Y chromosome microdeletion during his PhD. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai he explored how noncoding RNAs modulate gene expression and mTOR signalling pathway in mouse spermatogenesis event. During his Postdoctoral research at Kent State University, Ohio, USA he worked on the role played by Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3 alpha enzyme isoform to determine fertility potential of mouse spermatozoa. Presently, he is working with Dr. Zhumur Ghosh to identify different noncoding RNAs with altered expression patterns at early stage of pregnancy in domestic animal species.
Troyee Das
(CSIR Fellow)
troyee@jcbose.ac.in
Troyee has completed her Masters in Microbiology (2016) from University of Calcutta (first rank holder). Currently she is looking into the presence of Genetic Variants within long non coding RNA candidate loci and its role in different diseases.
Byapti Ghosh
(DST-INSPIRE Fellow)
byaptighosh1111@gmail.com , byapti@jcbose.ac.in
Byapti did her post-graduation in Microbiology (2015) from University of Kalyani (first rank holder). Presently, she is studying the role of different regulatory RNAs towards regulating epigenetic changes in induced pluripotent stem cell derived cells using both in-silico and wet-bench techniques.
Gourab Das
(ICMR-SRF)
gourab3gd@jcbose.ac.in
gourab4gd@gmail.com
Gourab completed M.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Calcutta. His research domain includes Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Bioinformatics. Currently he is investigating the relationship between genomic and clinical features of sperm to predict the outcome of assisted reproduction.
Pritha Sengupta
(UGC Fellow)
prithasm@jcbose.ac.in
prithseng@gmail.com
Pritha completed her post graduation in Microbiology from University of Calcutta.Currently, she is trying to understand the role of non coding RNAs in axonal degeneration caused due to traumatic brain injury and in other neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Satakshi Bagchi
(UGC-JRF)
satakshibagchi@mail.jcbose.ac.in
satakshi1608@gmail.com
Satakshi has completed her Masters in Zoology (2018) from West Bengal State University. Presently, she is trying to find the shared morphological features of axon loss in Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and the role of long non-coding RNAs in axonal degeneration and regeneration.
